Automatic Furnace Control Software ES.III

Features of ESⅢ

In glass furnace control, feedback control is generally used. However, due to the low thermal conductivity and high viscosity of molten glass, the reaction from input (e.g., increasing combustion gas) to output (e.g., rise in bottom temperature) is very slow, making control difficult.
ESⅢ analyzes several weeks of furnace operation data using computer analysis and calculates the time functions between input and output. This allows for prediction of output effects from input changes, enabling feedforward control and thus stable furnace operation.
This control technology is currently used in approximately 200 furnaces worldwide, contributing significantly to energy savings and quality improvement.
